USDA INSECTARY
One particularly relevant USDA project involved the design-build delivery of a specialized insectary and biological research facility in Davie, Florida for the USDA Agricultural Research Service. The facility supported sensitive research operations involving controlled environmental conditions, biological containment, insect research, and laboratory-based agricultural and invasive species programs.
The project required the development and installation of specializedHVAC and mechanical systems designed to maintain strict temperature, humidity, filtration, and pressurization requirements essential to the facility’s operation and research integrity. Peachtree Mechanical worked closely with facility representatives, engineers, and project stakeholders throughout them design-assist and construction process to coordinate critical environmental systems, laboratory infrastructure, startup procedures, and commissioning activities.
This experience provided Peachtree Mechanical with direct experience delivering complex mechanical systems within highly specialized laboratory and research environments requiring operational reliability, environmental control, contamination prevention, and continuous facility operation similar to the requirements associated with BASF Project Combine.
