Peachtree Mechanical has successfully completed more than 100 projects for the across the Roybal Campus and associated CDC facilities in Atlanta, Georgia over the past 27+ years. These projects involved complex laboratory, containment, research, and mission-critical facility renovations requiring highly specialized mechanical and plumbing infrastructure systems.

The CDC Roybal Campus includes some of the nation’s most advanced laboratory and biosafety research facilities, including high-containment research environments, specialized laboratory infrastructure, and critical HVAC and utility systems supporting ongoing public health and infectious disease research operations.

Peachtree Mechanical has performed numerous laboratory renovations, infrastructure upgrades, mechanical room improvements, and utility system modifications throughout occupied and operational CDC facilities requiring strict environmental control, contamination prevention, pressurization, filtration, and uninterrupted facility operations.

The scope of work performed across multiple CDC projects has included:

  • HEPA filtration systems and validation support
  • High-containment laboratory exhaust systems
  • Pressure-controlled laboratory environments
  • Specialized laboratory ventilation systems
  • Dedicated outside air systems
  • Chilled water, heating water, and steam piping systems
  • Laboratory plumbing and specialty piping systems
  • Mechanical room infrastructure upgrades
  • Environmental humidity and temperature control systems
  • Central utility infrastructure modifications
  • HVAC startup, flushing, testing, and commissioning
  • Phased occupied laboratory renovations
  • BIM and multi-trade coordination activities
  • Critical shutdown planning and operational coordination

These projects required extensive coordination with CDC personnel, laboratory operations teams, engineers, commissioning agents, and federal oversight representatives while maintaining continuous operation of active laboratory and research environments.

Peachtree Mechanical’s extensive experience within the CDC Roybal Campus demonstrates our capability to successfully execute highly technical mechanical systems requiring environmental control, filtration, containment, commissioning, operational reliability, and mission-critical coordination similar to the requirements associated with BASF Project Combine.
