Project: New North 1200 H.P. Boiler Expansion/Asbestos Abatement
Description: The New North Boiler Expansion consisted of several tasks. We had to work closely to avoid any lost time for manufacturer production. We furnished and installed a (rental) 600 HP steam boiler and made all necessary connections to the existing system to maintain operation. Next, working under the permit of the EPA, we began the asbestos abatement on the old existing 1000 HP boiler and associated piping. When abatement was cleared, we removed the old boiler and all piping to prepare for the new installation. Upon the arrival of the new 1200 HP boiler, we then re-mobilized and with accuracy set the new boiler into place. In just nine days, the boiler was complete and ready for start up. Nestle Engineering gave us 14 days to have the job completed and we were ready in 9 days. Engineering staff with Nestle said that they were amazed at how well coordinated and how quickly the project was completed. Project: Dye Water Expansion, Facility Maintenance
Description: Our staff and crews worked with Nestle engineering to help with their production dye water deficiencies. We took out all of the piping for the dye water systems that consisted of (CPVC) materials. We then installed all sanitary stainless steel piping, valves, actuators, and new pumps. The system was done in small phases to limit down time for production.
